What is NB-IoT?
NB-IoT uses cellular technology to provide comprehensive coverage and operates on low frequency bands that effectively penetrate building walls. The communication range of NB-IoT devices is influenced by factors such as output power, antenna design and network conditions. Their robust performance in urban and suburban environments ensures reliable connectivity for IoT applications. Our complete solution for outdoor applications not only includes extremely robust outdoor displays, but also integrated sensor technology with LoRaWAN® connectivity.
Used, for example, in the city of Bern (bernbewegt.ch / Infoscreens) to display the water temperature of the Aare.
The sensor values are transmitted wirelessly via LoRaWAN® – e.g. via the OLDFUTURE Network or locally installed gateways – and made available on our network server. Versatile use: from infrastructure & logistics to public display of environmental values.
